He also said that UnionPay international will not be charged to the overseas merchants participating in the platform, which can help overseas electric operators to open up the Chinese market to some extent. The business model of the UnionPay platform is to attract more consumers to swipe online by expanding the type and service of goods and incentives, thus bringing more credit card fees to UnionPay.

Last February, UnionPay International launched its sea-buying platform and now has more than 30 million registered users. In addition to cooperating with overseas electric companies, the platform is also cooperating with airlines such as Lufthansa, Emirates Airlines and overseas renowned hotel reservations.
