US cloud computing software developer Zendesk is officially listed at NYSE

Beijing time May 16 Morning news, cloud computing customer service software developer Zendesk Thursday at the NYSE official listing. On the first day of the IPO, Zendesk's share price rose 49% and closed at $13.41.

Zendesk initially offered a price range of 8 to 10 dollars in the prospectus, which was eventually set at $9, in the middle of the range. It also breaks the law of IPO in the US software sector in recent years: almost all software companies have a lower price than the expected range, or at an expected lower limit.

The IPO shows investors re starting to focus on the software market, especially the young cloud computing software market. Such companies, while losing money, have achieved rapid revenue growth.

As of May 9, the "BVP Cloud Computing Index" of Bessemer Venture, the US venture capital company, fell 20% from early January. The composite index fell by only 1.5% in the same period. The BVP Cloud Computing index tracks a number of software companies that offer network services in subscription mode, but does not include traditional software companies that use installation mode.

Zendesk is the first of a series of cloud computing IPOs, and the other two have already submitted IPO documents, including mobile security apps and online storage service provider box.

It needs to be clear that the whole market is still a great distance from the peak period. By contrast to its peers, zendesk a few months ago on its own valuation of 12.08 dollars per share.
