With machine testing and the popularity of flat-panel teaching, schools are collecting more data than ever before. So some people think it's time to use the data.
Each question that the student answers is a chance for the teacher to verify the students ' learning. The wrong answer does not mean bad results, the teacher can analyze why the students come up with such an answer, which is good for both sides. At the publisher, the student's understanding of which chapters are more useful and useless.
In the past, schools have been trying to collect and analyze information using cloud storage. As more and more schools use tablet and application classes, it will make the data base larger so that the analysis becomes more accurate.
An educational innovation project called Teach to one has been tested in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C., using their software to track students ' mastery of the mathematics taught in the classroom. Through personalized testing in the software and courses that expose their weaknesses, there are small differences in setting up students ' classrooms-the classroom + teachers or one-on-one online tutoring, or even online-learning. Renaissance Learning, a cloud education software company, has more than 10 million students who often use the company's platform to record data, through which teachers can adjust their teaching methods and students can get appropriate teaching advice. A nonprofit organization, Inbloom, seems to have huge ambitions to store student data, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation teamed up with the Carnegie Foundation in New York to provide the company with as much as $100 million in seed money. Inbloom collects numerous school district database information and stores them in the cloud and uses advanced encryption protection measures. But the agency's collaboration with the school district was strongly opposed by parents who thought the school district Education Office had leaked students ' personal data to third-party data-storage companies without being informed. Although the Department of Education and Inbloom have repeatedly stressed that the data are stored in encrypted form and will not be sold, but are used to analyze and give teaching advice, people are still worried about possible privacy issues.
