Monster said in Friday that the Federal Trade Commission had asked the company for a second time to disclose information on acquisitions of HotJobs. "Monster intends to respond to this and will continue to communicate with the Federal Trade Commission on this issue," the company said. "Monster previously expected that the company's acquisition work will be completed in the third quarter of this year." The company still expects the deal to be completed in the third quarter.
Monster also reached a three-year deal with Yahoo, which will become a recruitment content provider for Yahoo's U.S. and Canada home pages. The deal will be implemented after the deal is completed. In addition, the agreement gives monster an exclusive right to negotiate with Yahoo to provide jobs in Europe, Asia and Latin America for a specific period after the end of the transaction, depending on the monster.
