On March 22, according to foreign media reports, international research and consultancy Gartner said 2013 was a year of large-scale adoption of large data by companies. According to Gartner's survey of global IT executives, 42% per cent of respondents said they had invested in big data or that they would invest in the next year. "Most companies are still in the early stages of using big data, and only a few have applied them to the corporate level, or they can recognize the whole of the big data for their infrastructure, business and industry," says Doug Laney, a Gartner research vice president.
