The following is the description of the aspnet_regiis.exe parameter:

-I-install this version of ASP. NET, and update the script ing at the root of the IIS metadatabase and all script ing below the root. Upgrade existing versions of script ing to this version.

-Ir-install this version of ASP. NET and register it only. Script ing in IIS is not updated.

-When enable-with-I or-ir specifies-enable, ASP. NET is also enabled in the IIS security console (IIS 6.0 or later.

-S <path>-install the script ing of this version recursively in the specified path. Upgrade existing versions of script ing to this version. For example, aspnet_regiis.exe-s W3SVC/1/ROOT/SampleApp1

-Sn <path>-install the script ing of this version in a non-recursive manner in the specified path. Upgrade existing versions of script ing to this version.

-R-this version is the root location of the IIS metadata library and all script mappings below the root. Regardless of the current version, all existing script mappings are changed to this version.

-U-Uninstall this version of ASP. NET. Existing script ing to this version is remapped to the other top ASP. NET versions installed on this computer.

-Ua-Uninstall all ASP. NET versions on the computer

-K <path>-recursively removes all script mappings to any ASP. NET version from the specified path. For example, aspnet_regiis.exe-k W3SVC/1/ROOT/SampleApp1

-Kn <path>-removes all script mappings to any ASP. NET version in non-recursive mode from the specified path.

-Lv-list all ASP. NET versions installed on the computer (including the status and installation path ). Status: Valid [(Root)] | Invalid

-Lk-list all paths (along with versions) of all IIS metadatabase items mapped by ASP. NET scripts ). The ing of ASP. NET scripts inherited from the parent item is not displayed.

-C-install the client script version in the aspnet_client subdirectory of each IIS Site Directory.

-E-Remove this version of the client script from the aspnet_client subdirectory of each IIS Site Directory.

-Ea-Remove all versions of client scripts from the aspnet_client subdirectory of each IIS Site Directory.
