Usually when we need a lot of the same objects, we use CTRL + C to copy, Ctrl + V to paste on

But basically, if the original copy of the parent object has made any changes, the other copy affixed to the object will not be changed together, imagine if there are 100 copies of the pasted items, then you need to change several times?

Expression design built-in feature "clone" can solve this problem

Choose the top menu->eidt->clone after I draw y

Take a closer look at the example pictures, each y node except the parent object, the child objects are only two points

Because, in this case, the parent object is regular path, but the child object is clone

Even if you can modify the color and brush style, you still can't modify the shape of clone

Now we use convert Anchor point (shortcut key shift+c) to change the shape of y

Because we use clone, the child object changes when the original parent object's appearance changes.

Using clone, you can change all of the sub-objects you want to make them look like all at once.

I changed the parent object to black and the other sub-objects were renamed

Then delete the parent object.

It can be found that a sub-object named "5" automatically inherits the status of the parent object.

So even if the original parent object disappears, another child object that once belonged to the parent object is automatically inherited.

If you want to select one of the clones, make it a separate path, and no longer attach to the parent object

Please use top Menu->object->convert Object to Path (shortcut key Ctrl+shift+o)
