1. String type character string (based on ASCII encoding)

Unicode string (Unicode-based encoding)

Note: Using char to store Chinese characters (double-byte characters) can be garbled (and also look at the encoding format of the database), while using nchar, nvarchar guarantees that the display will always be normal.

• char (1) ' A ' 1 '
• char (2) ' AA ' in '
• NCHAR (1) ' A ' in ' a character two bytes

In addition: text and ntext are deprecated, and if you store longer strings, such as novels, varchar (max) and nvarchar (max) are the recommended uses.

2. Binary type

It is recommended to use the character ' F ' for "female" and the character ' M ' to denote "male".
