12 reasons why I refused to use IE

According to foreign media reports, as a senior Windows user, the author believes that Internet Explorer is not advisable in terms of aesthetics or speed. The following are my 12 reasons:

1. Internet Explorer is very popular and can easily be targeted by hackers.

2. Generally, Microsoft releases updates on a regular basis. As a result, these known IE vulnerabilities will be exploited by hackers before Microsoft releases updates.

3. Microsoft fixed Internet Explorer errors very slowly. Generally, they were released six months after the vulnerability was discovered.

4. Adobe Flash Player is very popular, so it is vulnerable to hacker attacks. This requires users to maintain real-time updates, but IE does not support this function. You need to manually install the new version of Flash. However, Google Chrome can automatically, quickly, and quietly update flash players.

5. Flash is used as an ActiveX control in IE browser, while ActiveX control is very insecure. I believe that a browser that does not support ActiveX controls is more secure.

6. The purpose of adding ActiveX controls in IE is to add additional features and functions, while Firefox and Chrome add new features and functions through a large number of extensions, on the other hand, there are only a handful of IE Plug-ins.

7. In general, Browser Extensions/plug-ins are often attacked by hackers. Both Firefox and Chrome check expired plug-ins, but IE never.

8. Currently, the most popular operating systems are Windows XP, Windows 7, and Mac OS X. The latest browser is IE9, but it only supports Windows 7 operating systems, the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome are supported across platforms.

9. If you use multiple computers, Firefox and Chrome both have built-in functions that can synchronize bookmarks, while IE cannot.

10. As a Windows operating system user, I have a special liking for portable applications. Firefox and Chrome both have portable versions, but IE does not.

11. Users running 64-bit Windows 7 operating systems will be confused about choosing a 32-bit or 64-bit IE browser, but Firefox and Chrome will not bring such confusion to users.

12. The main competitors of IE-Firefox, Chrome, and Opera are free of charge, and their performance is also good.
