CentOS comes with FTP software: vsftp

1. Installing the Software

Yum install-y vsftpd

2. Start the Software

/etc/init.d/vsftpd Start

Note: Sometimes startup fails, first check whether 21 ports are occupied , or view log troubleshooting /var/log/secure

VSFTP configuration, by default, allows system users to log on and enter the directory after the system user's home directory. and can be CD to other privileged directories. This is not a safe situation and is not recommended for this purpose. We can map a virtual user to ensure security.

3. Edit the configuration file

Vim/etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

Open Chroot_local_user=yes to restrict system users from logging on, use a CD to change the directory. Can only operate in the current directory.
