15.3 Accessing an AlwaysOn failover cluster
15.3.1 Configuring SQL Server Instances
Similar to instances where the local computer is installed independently, instances of AlwaysOn failover clusters also need to be configured with SQL Server Configuration Manager.
In this example, an AlwaysOn failover cluster is installed as a named instance, so you need to configure its network protocols, enable SQL Server Browser, open firewall ports, and so on.

15.3.2 Network Name
In the Active Directory users and computers and the DNS Management console, check the network name and IP address of the AlwaysOn failover cluster.

15.3.3 from Client Access
If an AlwaysOn failover cluster instance is a default instance, the client directly accesses its virtual network name. In this example, an AlwaysOn failover cluster instance is a named instance, and is accessed by:< virtual network name >\< Instance name >.
