Method One
SQL Server 2005 's scheduled backup function works well, and daily scheduled backups ensure data security.
The settings for scheduled backups are also simple, and the first step is to enter the Microsoft SQL Server Management studio--> Management--> Maintenance plan to create a new maintenance plan. Then set the time, click on the right side of the Red fork next to the three points to configure, set after the completion of the determination can be. Then, from the maintenance scheduled tasks on the left, drag the backup database task to the right, double-click the task to set up, select the database, backup type, and backup address that you want to back up, and finally save the plan.
The Agent XP component may be turned off as part of this server security configuration when you create a new maintenance plan. System administrators can use sp_configure to enable "proxy XP." Method Two
1 , Click on the Start menu to open "SQL server Management Studio", expand the SQL server on the left side of the window;

3. In the Object Explorer window, select Administration-the maintenance plan option.
4 , Right-click Maintenance plan and select the Maintenance Plan Wizard option on the pop-up shortcut menu;
5 , eject The Maintenance Plan Wizard dialog box as shown in the figure, and click Next.
6 , pop-up as shown in the "Select Target Server" dialog box, in the Name text box you can enter the name of the maintenance plan, in the Description text box, you can enter the description text of the maintenance plan;
Click the "Change" button to eject the "Schedule Job Properties" dialog box as shown in the figure. in this dialog box, you can set the time and frequency to back up the database, click OK when you are finished, and go back to the Select Plan Properties window, and then click the Next button.
7 , The "Select Maintenance Task" dialog box, shown in the picture, allows you to select one or more maintenance tasks: 1) Check Database integrity, 2) shrink the database, 3) Regenerate or organize indexes, 4) Update statistical information, 5) Clear History, 6) Perform SQL Server Agent Jobs, 7) backup databases, etc., 8) the Clean Maintenance task. Select the following three check boxes for the back up database.
8 , Click "Next" button : The following "Select Maintenance Task Order" dialog box pops up, and if you have more than one maintenance task, you can set the order of maintenance tasks by moving up and down two buttons, and then clicking Next when you are finished setting.
9 , pop-up as shown in the "Define Tasks" dialog box, in the Database Drop-down list box, you can select the name of the database to back up, and in the backup components area, you can choose whether to back up the database or the number of backups According to the library file, in the target area you can add backup files and backup devices, set whether to append the backup data to the backup file, and so on. When you have finished setting up, click the Next button.
a , Pop-up Select Report Options dialog box, in which you can choose how to manage Maintenance Plan reports: You can write reports to files or send database administrators by e-mail. When you have finished setting up, click the Next button.
one , Pop-up Completion Wizard dialog box, click Finish to complete the maintenance plan creation operation.
, after you create a maintenance plan, the following Maintenance Plan Wizard Progress screen appears, which completes the automatic backup operation .
