IoT (Internet of Things, abbreviated IoT) is an Internet-based, traditional telecommunications network, and other information-bearing carriers that enable all the common physical objects that can be addressed independently to interconnect the network. The internet of things is generally a wireless network, because each person around the device can reach 1000 to 5,000, so the internet of things may contain 500 to 1000 trillion objects, on the internet of things, everyone can apply electronic tags to connect real objects online, on the IoT can find their specific location. Through the Internet of things, computers, equipment and people can be centrally managed and controlled by the IoT, which can also be used for remote control of home devices, cars, and for searching locations and preventing items from being stolen. The Internet of Things will digitize the real world with a wide range of applications. The applications of the Internet of things include the following aspects: Transportation and logistics, health care, intelligent Environment (home, Office, factory), personal and social fields, etc., has a very broad market and application prospects.
Developers are interested in the Internet of Things, where IoT products have had a significant impact on the software development community, making developers have to think ahead. There are 3 key points to define IoT products:
1. It must be available to be connected . The ability to collect information about the physical environment and to interact with other objects via the Internet or network.
2. It must be computable . Multiple methods of input are calculated to make more sense to other systems.
3. It must be available for communication . Communicate with other objects in the network, if necessary to communicate with the user.
What task developers like to develop IoT applications:
89% is write application, 53% is data integration, 21% network system, 20% chip programming, 6% build chip.
Many developers have started building their own smart homes, and they have:
51% Family Safety, 51% Smart Tools, 45% Smart luminaires, 25% smart apps ...
The most concerned aspects of IoT development are:
From big to small factors such as security, privacy, device management, maintenance, networking, protocol
The challenges of the Internet of Things are:
1. Efficiency. Devices within the IoT need only minimize work and existing ecosystems.
2. Security, privacy and need to share.
3. Standards. For example protocol standard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), RFID tags, ZigBee, WI-FI,NFC, GPS
The opportunities for the Internet of Things are:
1. Consumers.
2. Business.
3. Medical care.
4. City, infrastructure, industry.
The areas of the Internet of things to be covered are:
The above two graphs indicate the various areas of the IoT application, the developer has completed the percentage of applications, and the percentage of applications to be used, and the legend of interest rankings.
This article is just a primer on the internet of things, hoping to help you with your IoT application software development.
