The Linux operating system has been updated many times since the project began in August 25, 1991. To commemorate the 23rd Anniversary of the Birth of Linux, Torvalds announced the release of Linux3.17-rc2 on the kernel email list. 3.17-rc2 changes are related to drivers, 60% are file system updates, and 15% are architecture, others are the kernel, network, and documentation.
The famous Linux release version of Debian also celebrated its 2nd anniversary. In August 16, 1993, IanMurdock, who studied at the U. S. Pudu University, launched the DebianProject to build a free operating system. For more than 20 years, Debian has become one of the most influential Linux systems.
