2.6.18-194. What does el5-x86_64 mean? -- Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. For details, refer to the following section. I manage three machines in their/usr/src/kernels/directory as follows:
Machine A: Has 2.6.18-164. el5-x86_64 and 2.6.18-8. el5-x86_64 (the machine is CentOS release 5.4 (Final ))
Machine B: Only 2.6.18-194. el5-x86_64, (RedHat5.5)
Machine C:/usr/src/kernels/has nothing under it (RedHat5.5)
What's going on?
Two of them indicate dual-core, right? What does that mean?
What does 2.6.18, 164. el5, and x86_64 mean? Especially el, I often see that this thing will appear behind almost all the packages when installing rpm packages. I just don't understand it. It's really illegal. Thank you !!
