3.1 Managing Exchange Recipient objects

Lab Environment:

A DC (S06) ip:192.168.1.100,

A MBX (S05) ip:192.168.1.101,

A CAS (S04) ip:192.168.1.102,

1. Create and configure user mailboxes.
   

To log on as an administrator, open Central Administration HTTPS://S04/ECP. Recipient---mailbox----user mailbox

New User Mailbox

Double-click the user mailbox, expand the Properties dialog box,on the General tab, you can view and configure the user's basic information , if you need more information, click "More Options".

In the Mailbox Usage tab, you can view the last time a user logged in to a mailbox and the mailbox usage. As well as specifying mailbox storage quotas for users custom size and message deletion custom retention days. The default mailbox size follows its mailbox database default quota value of 2G, and the default deleted items retention period also follows the default quota value for the mailbox database for 14 days.

On the Contact Information tab, you can view the user account contact information for the configuration mailbox recipient object.

The e-mail Addresses tab enables you to view and manage mail addresses for mailbox recipient objects. By default, Exchange assigns an SMTP mail address to a mailbox recipient in the format [email protected]

The Mailbox Features tab allows you to enable or disable mail client connectivity for user mailboxes, such as pop, IMAP, MAPI, OWA, ActiveSync, and so on. You can also set the size of incoming and outgoing messages, the number of recipients, and whether to enable forwarding, limit send and receive targets, and so on.

From the Member Owned tab, you can view the distribution group where the recipient of the mailbox is located.

on the MailTips tab, you can create a message when someone sends a message to this mailbox recipient .

The Mailbox Delegation tab allows you to view and set the mail agent for the mailbox recipient to define access rights.

Delete User mailbox actions, delete is to delete the Exchange mailbox and the corresponding AD account number.

Disabling user mailbox operations, disabling means deleting an Exchange mailbox and preserving the AD account number.

Simply look at the command for recipient management under EMS:

The user mailbox is enabled and there is an ad account number.
