In this case we use 3DsMAX to make a light bulb. The main point is to use a spline to rotate the shape and the performance of the glass material.
Production tools: 3dsmax7.0 Chinese version, the other version of the method and steps similar.
Production process:
1, enter the "Create" graphics command panel, select the "Line" button, draw a curve as the outer contour of the bulb, as shown in Figure 01.
2, into the Modify command panel, in the "select" Volume display bar click the "Spline" button to enter the "spline line" secondary object level, set the outline argument to 10 in the geometry volume and click the Outline button to turn a single layer curve into a closed double line, as shown in Figure 02.
3. In the Drop-down list of the modifier list, select the turning modifier, click the max button to set the position of the rotation axis, and the resulting rotation is shown in Figure 03.
4. Enter the "Create" graphics panel, click the "Line" button, draw a curve as the outer contour of the metal rear seat of the bulb, and turn the Single-layer curve into a closed double line, as shown in Figure 04.
5. Select the turn modifier in the Drop-down list of the modifier list in the Modify command panel, click the Max button to set the position of the rotation axis, and the resulting rotation body is shown in Figure 05.
6. Make the inner component of the bulb.
In the view, select the light bulb metal back seat, right-click, and in the pop-up menu bar, click the Hide unselected objects command to hide the remainder. Go to the Create Graph panel, click the Line button, and draw a curve as the contour of the lamp wick, as shown in Figure 06.
