Production software: 3dsmax7.0, similar to other versions.
First, make three-dimensional ashtray
1, enter the Create command panel, click the Geometry button, select "Standard Geometry" in the Drop-down list box. Click the Cone button to create a new cone in the top view, as shown in Figure 01.
2, select the cone, enter the Modify command panel, expand the parameters of the display bar, as shown in Figure 02 to modify the parameters.
The modified cone is shown in Figure 03.
3, in the Geometry panel, click the Cylinder button, and in the top view, create a new cylinder as shown in Figure 04.
4, select the cone, go to modify the command panel, expand the "parameters" volume display bar, as shown in Figure 05 to modify the parameters.
5, select the cone, in the "Geometry" Panel drop-down list Select "Composite Object", into the creation of composite object panel. Click the Boolean Operation button, enter the Boolean Operations Properties panel, click the "Pick Object B" button, move the mouse pointer over the "cylinder", click the left mouse button, and the part of the cylinder that intersects the cone is clipped to get the model shown in Figure 06.
6, select the model, into the Modify command panel, in the Drop-down list box to select "Smooth surface", into the smooth surface of the property panel, expand the "number of sub-division" volume, the "repeat" value of the change to 2.
7, create a cylinder in the front view and adjust to the position shown in Figure 07.
