Word is one of the most common document processing tools we use in our daily work, but many friends have trouble with the documents they encounter when they use them. Can you just watch the desperately needed documents not open and give up? Of course not, in fact, before the real give up, do not let us see our rescue action plan.
1, modify the start
Because the Word document supports macro commands, the original author of some documents uses a macro command to encrypt it, or a macro command that is loaded with errors can also cause the document to not open. We don't want to open the document by modifying the Word startup parameters to prevent the macro from running.
Go to the Word 2003 installation directory, and then locate the Winword.exe and send it to your desktop shortcut. Open the Properties window for the shortcut, then add "/m" after the target bar, save the modified shortcut, and then drag the document to the shortcut icon, and the Macro command in the document will not run.
2, automatic recovery
If you are in the process of editing a document, suddenly encounter a program stop responding, panic, or even death of the situation, and the document is not saved in time, then do not do the normal way to restart the computer, and then open Word 2003, so that Word will automatically eject a document recovery operation window, Select a later AutoSave project in the window to recover. This will reduce the loss to the lowest point.
However, in order to improve the success rate of automatic recovery, you must do the appropriate work in advance. You open the Options command on the Word Tools menu, switch to the Save tab, and then select the Allow background save and AutoSave interval options, and set a time interval after automatic save interval, which should not be too long. Save the settings, you can replace the careless friend in time to save the edited document.
3, restore the text
If none of the above methods, you can only try the "restore text from any file" transmitter to maximize the text content in the Word document.
When you start Word, open the Options command under the Tools menu, select the Confirm conversion on open option in the General tab, and then open the Open command on the File menu, choose the document save path in the Look in field, and then select Restore text from any file in the text type below. , then select the document you want to open, click the Open button, so you can recover the text from the document, but the restored text formatting is lost.
In fact, when the document is not open, you can also try to use a low version, Notepad or some third-party document editing software to open, in addition, you can use anti-virus software for virus killing, the general situation can be restored.
4, open Repair
For a previously saved document, if you encounter a double-click to open the mouse, but the document is not able to see the error can not be viewed, then do not change the way it opens.
Start Word 2003 from the Program menu, and then click the Open button on the toolbar. In the dialog box that pops up select the folder where you want to open the document, select the document, click the small arrow button on the side of the Open button in the lower-right corner, and choose Open and Repair on the menu that pops up. command so that Word automatically fixes some of the errors and restores the document to its normal opening.
