Recently, the company needs to build Oracle9i on a 64-bit RedHat system, which is a relatively old version and is difficult to install.
The general installation process is as follows:
1. Download the installation package
1、amd64_db_9204_disk1_1-32.16.cpio.gz
2. Patchset 9.2.0.5: Patchnumber 3501955or p3948480_9206_linux-x86-64.zip
3. Patchset 9.2.0.7: Patchnumber 4163445 or 9.2.0.8 patchset (4547809)
For more information, see.
(1) If it is installed on 64-bit RHEL5.4, You need to download the following installation package and patch:
(2) If it is installed on the 64-bit RHEL4.8 release, only download the installation package amd64_db_9204_disk1_1-32.16.cpio.gz.
2. Create users, modify system parameters, and modify Environment Variables
I will not discuss it here. This is more common.
3. install required packages
This is not introduced. Refer to the general documentation to install it.
4. Install oracle software
(1) Let's talk about the simple 64-bit RHEL4.8 installation.
Before executing./runinstall, you must set an environment variable: $ export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL = 2.4.19; otherwise, the installation will get stuck and copy naeet. o will always be displayed.
During installation to 88%, you will be prompted not to compile ins_sqlplus.mk, ignore the past, and compile after installation.
During installation to 99%, you will be prompted not to compile ins_rdbms.mk, ignore the past, and compile after installation.
After the installation is complete, do not create a database and execute the compilation script.
$ Cd $ ORACLE_HOME/RDBMS/lib
$ Make-f ins_rdbms.mk install
$ Cd $ ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/lib)
$ Make-f ins_sqlplus.mk install
After compilation, create and install the database.
(2) 64-bit RHEL5.4 installation is much more complicated.
Statement, this part is based on the online sorting, did not personally experiment. It can be installed based on online communication.
The main reason is that the patch cannot be downloaded, And the download speed is extremely slow. By the time it reaches 99%, thunder also prompts me a package verification error .....
If you directly use OUI 9.2.0.4 for installation, the installation will remain stuck at the 17% position.
The general idea is to use OUI 9.2.0.5 or 9.2.0.6 and install products. jar of 9.2.0.4. After upgrading to 9.2.0.7 or 9.2.0.8, create a database.
1) switch to the installation package 9.2.0.5 or 9.2.0.6, run./runinstall, and then select install the Oracle Universal Installer ONLY. Assume that the installation is in the/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0/db_1 directory.
2) After the installation is complete, switch to the new directory installed. Note that the new directory is/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0/db_1 installed in the previous step and run./runinstall.
3) on the page, select product. jar of 9.2.0.4.
4) after the database software is installed, run the upgrade package 9.2.0.7 or 9.2.0.8, and then create a database in dbca.
In addition, 32-bit oracle 9i is directly installed on 64-bit RHEL5.4. If a bug occurs, the system prompts that the file cannot be found and cannot be installed.
The solution is to install the oracle 9i 64-bit version. This solution is speechless.
