Microsoft has not yet released the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1, but foreign netizens Rafael Rivera has posted on his blog How to install Internet Explorer 7 on a Windows x64 system. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Extract the Ie7-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe to a temporary folder.
2. Delete the following contents in the Unpacked folder:
3. Create a blank text file in the Unpacked folder and name it iexplore.exe.local.
4. Now that we've got a standalone internet Explorer 7 Beta 1, move this folder to any place you want to store it.
5. Run Iexplore.exe.
