A brief description of Add-apt-repository

After Ubuntu 9.10, we can use the "add-apt-repository" script to add the PPA to the current library and automatically import the public key. The following syntax is used under the terminal: add-apt-repository ppa:<ppa_name> For example: Install the latest audacious (Ubuntu) sudo add-apt-repository Ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install audacious note: Add-apt-repository is by Python-software-prop Erties This kit is provided so that you install python-software-properties before you can use add-apt-repository otherwise the command not found installation method is displayed: Apt-get install Python-software-properties
