China's router technology development is very rapid, so I studied the router technology in the router platform based on several POS access methods of practical applications, here to share with you, I hope to be useful. Under the situation of further encouraging card consumption and popularizing the financial POS business, there are many problems in our financial system, such as high cost of POS access equipment, low access density, special equipment and inconvenient maintenance. For this reason, 3Com has launched a POS access solution based on router technology, aiming at the current situation of POS access application market.
The "direct substitution" of integration
This solution is based on the 3Com Middle and low-end router technology communication processing platform, providing serialization, high-density, manageable, maintainable, multiple access mode, multiple applications/multihomed, IP solutions, and leveraging Quidway VRP extended business features, such as terminal access server, DLSW, VoIP, IPSEC, VPN, QoS, backup center, etc., to provide users with integrated network solutions. The program in line with user-friendly, save user investment concept, using the "direct replacement" approach. That is, the original POS application environment is completely compatible, users do not need to adjust the POS, front and back-end host devices, do not need to make any changes to the application of these devices or add applications, only need users in the Quidway router technology to configure a few commands.
This solution provides the means of communication available to existing POS access devices. The connecting part of the POS machine supports dial-up access and asynchronous connection mode. The dial-up access mode utilizes the modem of the POS machine and connects with the FCM single Board interface of the PSTN dial-up and Quidway router technology, and the asynchronous connection mode uses the communication cable to connect the RS-232 interface of the POS machine with the asynchronous interface of the Quidway router technology. The upper part of the connection to the predecessor supports asynchronous connection mode and TCP/IP communication methods. The asynchronous connection uses the communication cable to connect the asynchronous interface of the Quidway router technology with the RS-232 interface of the predecessor machine and the working way of the connection; TCP/IP communication means that the Quidway router technology communicates with the predecessor computer through the LAN or WAN.
Based on middle and low end routers
This POS access scheme is based on the middle and low-end router technology platform, including the middle and low-end routers of the modular and modular series. For POS dial-up access mode, only the modular router technical support, because the POS dial-up access mode requires a modular FCM (Fast Connect modem) Single Board support, such as 1760, 2620/2621, 3640/3680 routers. Non-modular routers (fixed interface) only support the POS asynchronous access mode, such as 16 series, 25 series. For the upper-section mode of communication, modularity is the same as for a non modular router.
FCM Single Board is a single board which is dedicated to POS access supported by all Quidway modular router technology. It runs on 3ComVRP software platform and does not require additional software support, and can be used for quidway routers that have been sold to the marketplace as long as the VRP version is upgraded. At present, FCM Single board has three kinds of specifications: 6FCM, 4FCM and 2FCM single board, at the same time Support 6 Road, 4 Road and 2 way POS dial-up access. Middle and low-end router technology single board slot number of 3680 routers, a total of 8 slots, in accordance with the 6FCM single Board calculation, the number of POS dial-up access can reach 48, where the backup interface aux port can be used as the upper interface. At present, the FCM Single Board supports the commonly used synchronous dial-up/1200bps in the domestic market for dial-up communication.
