A few common shell

Different shells have different functions, the shell also determines the syntax of the function in the script, the default shell in Linux is/bin/bash, the popular shell has ash, bash, Ksh, CSH, zsh, and so on, different shells have their own characteristics and use.

Bash

The Shell,bash shell, which is used by default by most Linux systems, is a free version of the Bourne shell, which is the oldest Unix Shell,bash with a feature that can be viewed with the help command. Includes functionality that almost covers the shell, so a generic shell script will specify it as the execution path, with 40 internal commands.

Ash

The ash shell was written by Kenneth Almquist, a small shell that occupies the least system resources in Linux, and it contains only 24 internal commands, making it inconvenient to use.

Csh

C Shell uses the "Class C" syntax, CSH is a C language style of a shell, its internal commands are 52, a larger. The current use is not much, has been replaced by/BIN/TCSH.

Ksh

Korn SH The ell syntax is the same as the Bourne shell, with the easy-to-use features of the C shell. Many of the installation scripts are used ksh , andKsh has 42 internal commands that are somewhat restrictive compared to bash.

Tcsh

TCSH is an enhanced version of CSH and is fully compatible with C shell.

Sh

is a shortcut that has been replaced by/bin/bash.

Zsh

One of the largest shell:zsh in Linux at the moment. It has 84 internal commands and is more complex to use. In general, the shell is not used.
