A problem about how JavaScript handles DOM in Firefox

Source: Internet
Author: User

Different browsers have different support for Javascript, and different versions of browsers have different support for JavaScript versions. I will not elaborate here.

Javascript has now supported Dom and BOM. Let's talk about a problem encountered in Firefox (Version 3.0 ):

See the following HTML:

< Div ID = "Mytestdom" > </ Div >

TestCode: Javascript

VaR Mydom = Document. getelementbyid ( " Mytestdom " );
If (Mydom)
Alert ( " OK " );
VaR Mydomerr = Document. getelementbyid ( " Mytestdom " );
If ( ! Mydomerr)
Alert ( " It's error " );

In ff, in addition to the OK dialog box, the it's error dialog box appears. That is, FF is case sensitive to Dom information, id = 'mytestdom 'and ID = 'mytestdom' are considered to belong to different dom (HTML is case-insensitive ).

In IE, only OK appears.
