A frog with crocodile head in the creative synthesis of Photoshop

Look at the effect chart first.

1. First, open the Frog picture in Photoshop. Resize the image to 1024x768, resolution 72, label the Frog.

2, open this image alone. After removing the natural background, keep the crocodile head and use its transparent background eventually.

3, after opening, we need to remove the natural background, keep the crocodile head. There are many ways to cut the head of a crocodile. You can try the Magic Wand tool (w shortcut), but the natural background around the crocodile is fine, so a better way is to use the Eraser tool (e shortcut).

I use a round brush (different size), the hardness is set to 100%, no spacing. This will clean the crocodile's head around. It is recommended to enlarge the picture, clean the details, although the steps are time-consuming, but the final overall effect will be better.

4, this time you get a complete alligator head, copy the crocodile layer, paste it onto the frog layer above it, label the alligator head. You need to further try and adjust and use the Transform tool (Command/CTRL + T). You will find that there is still some work to be done, the crocodile's eye is visible, and the frog's color does not match.

5. Now, to have a general idea, how do we combine the two animals together and start matching. Using the Clone Stamp tool (s shortcut), we will try to remove the crocodile's eyes. When cloning, I tend to use soft brushes because it helps to mix clones more effectively.

Hold down the ALT key and select the skin in a similar area near your eye to cover your eyes. Now, we need to join the alligator's jaw line behind the frog's neck. Again, select the pattern matching the crocodile, and use the Clone tool area to fill out a suitable connection.

6, you now get the effect should already resemble this picture below.

7, we got a better shape, but some elements still do not match exactly. The crocodile's head still covers the frog's eyes and needs to be removed.

Use the Eraser tool (e shortcut) to remove these elements so that the crocodile's head is more natural. Use a soft brush to remove any jagged or overlapping parts of the frog's eyes and the jaw line near it.

8, the crocodile looks good at the moment, but it needs some color adjustment work. As I've mentioned earlier, there are different ways to do this, but I'm more accustomed to the following procedure.

First, you want to outline the alligator's Head (Command/CTRL key and click on the "Crocodile Head" layer) to select in the "Create new fill/Adjust layer" option.

9, select the "Color balance" option, on the tone balance, select the middle adjustment options. Then move the slider to match the screenshot below.

10. The sample has created a mask in the head, but we do not want the crocodile's teeth and mouth to change. To solve this problem, simply select the Eraser tool and remove the color of the tongue and teeth.

There are other areas where alligator heads can be done to remove green effects, so select the "eraser" tool again, but this time to reduce the opacity to 50%. I'm going to highlight in the red area that I've deleted to 50%, while the blue area is deleted to 100%.

11, now, we want to reduce the color of the head of the crocodile, so that it and the body of the frog integration. In the screenshot below, I emphasize that I use the Dodge tool in the red area.

12, it looks pretty good, but we still lack some shadows. The crocodile's head seemed to float on top of the image, as it had no direct shadow. Select the frog layer and use the burn tool to darken the ground beneath it, so that it matches the shadow underneath the frog's body.
