If you think the desktop n many icons too much, too messy! Now let me teach you a simple way to manage shortcuts so that the desktop no longer put a pile of icons affect your desktop!!! (xp/2000 under Use, me/98 similar!)
I. Setting up a shortcut Favorites folder
Create a new folder anywhere on the hard disk named "Common software", put the commonly used software shortcuts into it!
Two. Create "menu"
Right-click the taskbar-Toolbars-new toolbar-in the pop-up window, locate and select the shortcut favorites you've just created-"common software"-"OK"! There is more than one toolbar on the right side of the taskbar. Pressing the arrow on the toolbar will eject the Drop-down menu and you can select the program you want to run.
Three. Add Shortcuts
Right-click on the toolbar-open folder-Pull the icon in!
Four. Close the toolbar
Right-click the taskbar, and if you have a tick in front of the lock taskbar, select Lock the taskbar to unlock it. Right-click on the toolbar to select "Close Toolbar"!
PS: If you put the shortcut favorites in the "C:documents and Settings" System User Name "Start" menu, open "Start Menu"-"All Programs", inside you can see the folder!
