A section break automatically becomes a page break solution when Word inserts a footnote
Problem Description:
The first part is a single column, part of the two columns, if the one-column section plus a footnote at the bottom of the page, then the two-column section will immediately run to the next page, resulting in a large blank page. How to merge the sections of the following columns into the first page???
Solution:
To resolve this issue in Microsoft Office Word 2003 or Microsoft Word 2002, follow these steps:
Open the document.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click on the Compatibility tab to select the footnote like Word 6.x/95/97 check box options, and then click OK.
To troubleshoot this problem in Microsoft Office Word 2007, follow these steps:
Click the Microsoft Office button, and then click Word Options.
In the left pane, click Advanced.
Expand compatibility In the right pane, click to select the layout options under the Word 6.x/95/97 Arrange footnotes under check box, and then click OK.
