First step:
Please open the photo you want to enhance. Press L Select Lasso Tool, draw a loose selection around one eyebrow, do not need an exact choice, can be as loose as the figure shown here. If you want to select the other side of the eyebrows, you can select one side, hold down the SHIFT key, and then select the other side of the eyebrows.
Step Two:
After selecting the eyebrows, press CT R l-j (mac:command-j) to place the eyebrows in its own separate layer. After that, in the Layer palette, change the layer blending mode of the eyebrow layer from normal to multiply, which will darken the entire layer.
Step Three:
Hold down the ALT key (Mac:option key) and click on the Add Mask icon at the bottom of the layer palette. Pressing the Option/alt key will fill the layer mask with black, which hides the effect from the view, and now the eyebrows appear to be back to normal. Now make sure the foreground color is set to white (it should be white by default), and then press B to switch to the brush tool. In the Options bar, click the thumbnail to the right of the brush text and select a soft corner brush from the brush selector, which should be almost the same size as the eyebrows at the widest point.
Fourth Step:
Start drawing from right to left on your eyebrows. When drawing, you can press the left parenthesis key to make the brush smaller. When you draw on a layer mask, a positive overlay appears, causing the eyebrows to darken.
Fifth Step:
The end result may be too strong, but this can be corrected by reducing the opacity of the layered layer in the layer palette.
Sixth step:
Now turn to the eyelashes. In the Layer palette, click on the background layer, then select the Lasso tool to draw a loose selection around the eye, make sure that this loose selection completely surround the eyelashes.
Seventh Step:
For eyelashes. You can repeat the process of just the eyebrows, so once the eyes and eyelashes have been selected, press Ctrl-j (MAC:COMMAND-J) to copy them onto their own separate layers. Change the blending mode of the layer from normal to multiply, which darkens the entire layer.
Eighth Step:
Hold down the ALT key (Mac:option key), click the Add Mask icon at the bottom of the layer palette again, and add a black-filled layer mask to the layer. As with eyebrows, doing so hides the effect of a positive overlay. Set the foreground color to white, select a very fine soft corner brush and draw along the root of the eyelash to darken the area. And then along the upper eyelid, drawing at the root of the eyelash (incidentally, we put the lashes and eyebrows on a separate layer so that we can control each layer's opacity individually).
Tips:
The same technique can be used to enhance single lashes. Zoom in with the Zoom tool (Z) to enlarge the eyes, then select a very fine and fine brush, starting from the root of the eyelash, drawing along the lashes, making it darker. You may want to use a 1~2 pixel size brush. If the effect is too strong, just reduce the opacity of the layer to a point.
