A small bug in Windows Registry Editor?

Occasionally, when using the registration table editor regedit.exe, you may find that there is a small problem when editing the DWORD Value. Under normal circumstances, you can only enter a decimal or hexadecimal value in the data value text box. However, you can enter other values during copy and paste operations.

When you click Save, there is no problem. It is automatically converted to a value, and the above is changed to d50c34ae.
