A small example of collectD deployment in Ubuntu

First, compile the source:
Sudo apt-Get install build-essential
Next, install some necessary packages. You may need to install the necessary plug-ins later. For more information, see http://collectd.org/wiki/index.php/first_steps#creating_graphs:
Sudo apt-Get install librrd2-dev libsensors-dev libsnmp-Dev.
Next, install:
Sudo apt-Get install collectD

Restart the service after installation:
Sudo/etc/init. d/collectD restart

You can find the RRD file generated by monitoring under/var/lib/collectD/RRD.

Next, we want collectD to display it on the front end. Front-end list of collectD 1: http://collectd.org/wiki/index.php/List_of_front-ends
Use the first one for testing. The procedure is as follows.
Sudo wget http://pommi.nethuis.nl/storage/software/cgp/cgp-0.3.tgz
Unzip: sudo tar-zxvf cgp-0.3.tgz
The cgp-0.3.tgz is unzipped in/usr/CGP, And the cgp-0.3 is obtained after unzipping.
MV/usr/CGP/cgp-0.3/var/www/CGP (where CGP is new,/var/WWW is Apache document root)

Modify/var/www/CGP/CONF/config. php:
# CollectD's datadir
$ Config ['datadir '] ='/var/lib/collectD ';
The location is the same as that of the installed collectD.

Then, if PHP is not configured and installed on the machine, you must configure and install it. Otherwise, the final page cannot be opened. Configuration process:

① Upgrade the software package:
Sudo apt-Get update
Sudo apt-Get upgrade
② Install PHP:
Sudo apt-Get install PhP5
Install the GD library of PHP:
Sudo apt-Get install php5-gd
Install Apache's PHP parser:
Sudo apt-Get install libapache2-mod-php5
③ Restart Apache
Sudo/etc/init. d/apache2 restart

Finally, enter http: // localhost/CGP in the browser.
