I am a net friend, in a company to do network administrator. At the beginning of the year, some new employees came to the company, because the work needs, often access to some of the files on the server, but in view of security issues, to make a set of detailed solutions. In fact, the main function is the following:

1, each user can access to delete their own files.
2, these users sometimes need to access some common files, but can not let them have the right to delete, can only be added and deleted by the administrator.
3, each user must have their own account, and access to specific folders need to form a log saved for administrators to view.
4, to ensure that users are stored on the server files do not carry viruses and other harmful code.
5, each user can only store a certain size of files on the server, rather than unlimited files, and when the file to a specific cordon can notify the administrator.
6, for some important private files, users should be able to achieve encryption, to ensure that this information will not be read by others.

Through analysis, in fact, in addition to the function of virus monitoring, other requirements for Windows 2003 services can be implemented, let us see how the specific is achieved. This example has a certain universality, not only practical economy, but also ensure the security, basically achieve 0 management, greatly reduce the burden of the administrator. Here is just an example, the user name and group name and other settings are set according to your needs.

First, we open the Start menu and select "Programs"-"Administrative Tools"-"Computer Management", open Local Users and groups (assuming you don't have a domain), then click the user, right-click in the right column, and create 3 new users, A,B,C3 users, (assuming that the new 3 users, respectively, are a,b, c), as shown in Figure 1

Figure 1

Click on the group, click the new group in the right box, and create a group called "Wawa", as shown in Figure 2. Then click Add, add a user, B user, C user to the Wawa group, as shown in Figure 3.

Next, set up separate folders for the members of this group and group, first create a folder, name ABC, add a new security setting to the Security tab of the attribute, and set the folder to read Wawa group, as shown in Figure 4. Then create a new 3 folder under the ABC folder, a,b,c respectively, and each folder's permissions set to the specified user full access, that is, a folder set to a user full access, B folder set to B users full access, C folder set C users full access, if the user a lot of words, and so on, and so on, As shown in Figure 5.

After this setup, the issue of permissions, we are basically resolved, all users can access to read the files under the ABC folder, including its subfolders under the files, and can add their own folder to delete files under the file, and other users can only read.
