Do you know there's a file called DiskPart.exe under WinPE? It is a dedicated command-line tool for Disk Management in Windows XP, so it is of course also in WinPE to manage the hard disk partition. Let's use it here.
Type "DiskPart" into the WinPE cmd mode and enter the DiskPart command line, type "list disk" to display two hard drives (the second one is for experimentation), Disk 0 and Disk 1, respectively. Type "Select Disk=1", which means to select the specified disk and transfer focus to this disk, the next action is for it, type "detail Disk", you can view the details of disk 1, now Disk 1 is an active partition C, in the format of FAT32, the capacity is 8G. The following is the actual operation of the disk 1 into two zones, respectively, the NTFS-formatted 4G primary partition E and FAT32 format 4G logical partition F, the operation is as follows:
First, execute "select Disk=1" and turn the focus to disk 1. Execute "SELECT partition 1" To move the focus to partition activity E above disk 1;
Second, the implementation of "delete partition" to delete the original partition E;
Third, the implementation of "create partition primary size=4000", on disk 1 to establish a new 4000MB primary partition, the focus will automatically go to the newly established partition;
Four, then execute "create partition extended", the remaining disk space on disk 1 is established as an extended partition;
Five, complete the previous step and then execute "create partition logic", the newly created extended partition as a logical partition;
Six, so far, we have originally an active partition E Disk 1 has been created as a primary partition and a logical partition, but the two partitions do not have a drive letter, perform "select partition 1" to focus on the primary partition 1, and then perform "Assign Letter=e", Assign the drive letter E: to the primary partition. Perform "active" to set the primary partition as active so that it can boot the system;
Seven, the next execution "select partition 3" will focus to the logical partition, the "Assign" carriage return, meaning the system will be the next available drive letter assigned to the logical partition;
Eight, now we re-partition the hard drive on the machine is over, execute "exit" exit the DiskPart command-line interpreter tool, and then execute "format E:/fs:ntfs", the disk 1 is the primary partition created in the NTFS file format partition, the same implementation " Format f:/fs:fat32 "Partition F is formatted, and our final operation is complete;"
Nine, execute "exit", and then restart the machine, you can again enter "DiskPart" to see if the partition is correct;
The above operations basically include deleting, creating, formatting, and managing the disk, and if you read the Help instructions carefully, make sure you don't want to use FDISK to manage the disk after mastering its powerful features. In fact, if you are using Windows XP, this knowledge is very useful. In addition to the "DiskPart" tool is the most convenient place to support the script, here is not explained in detail.
