About accessing the blank pages of cacti and cacti/install after cacti is installed
Many people have encountered this problem on the Internet. The general explanation is that php-mysql is not installed, so it is easy to install it. The key is that many people have installed it, but there are still problems. This is what I do.
First, summarize the environment where the problem occurs. Apache compilation and installation, mysql yum installation (yum was lazy at the time) php compilation and installation.
This is where the problem occurs. Php compilation and installation requires specifying the mysql directory with-mysql. Many Instructions explain that if the mysql directory is not specified and mysql is installed with yum,/var/lib/mysql/will be automatically specified/
At that time, no compilation was specified, and compilation was completed. If no problem is found, a blank cacti page is displayed. As a result, the solution was not completed in the afternoon.
The preface says too much. Let's talk about the solution that has not been mentioned as soon as possible.
Manually -- with-mysql specifies the mysql directory
Error detected
Configure: error: Cannot find libmysqlclient under/usr.
Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore!
By searching for libmysqlclient, we found that it is a soft connection of libmysqlclient. so.15.0.0 in the/usr/lib64/mysql/directory. By default, PHP searches for/usr/lib/, so it cannot be found.
Solution:
Cp/usr/lib64/mysql/*/usr/lib/mysql/
Then perform./configure. If the server does not have the/usr/lib/mysql/directory, just make a soft connection.
Then make & make install appears on the access page of cacti install. Now the problem is solved.
There are many blank cacti pages on the Internet. No one mentioned the php error message and the library file used to connect to mysql. Therefore, many people may find that the logs are normal and cannot find a solution.
In conclusion, we hope to help those who encounter the same problem.
