For more information about PCI driver-general Linux technology-Linux programming and kernel, see the following. Hello everyone:
I encountered some problems when compiling and installing the PCI driver. I 'd like to ask you for advice ~~
I have obtained the driver for the pci device. At the beginning of compilation and installation, I also conducted a successful experiment. When I changed the pci device to a slot, the linux system cannot run normally (redhat AS4, kernel: 2.6.9 ). For the sake of insurance, I switched the pci device back to the original slot, But the strange thing is that it was compiled. When I used the "insmod" command for installation, the system always encountered the following error:
Code: Bad EIP value.
Segmentation fault.
However, the "lsmod" command shows that the device is installed, but the device cannot run normally.
The program and device are confirmed to be correct. Therefore, I suspect that the system or computer hardware is playing tricks. I have re-installed the system, changed the hard disk, changed the motherboard, and reset the motherboard. I am wondering if I have not been able to eliminate these error prompts for all these jobs. How can I change the slot and it will not work?
