About how to configure DHCP for H3C Switches

We usually use some network hardware functions to set some services. Here we will describe how to configure DHCP for the H3C switch. Currently, vswitches are rarely used as DHCP servers in the network. DHCP relay is usually configured on vswitches to distribute IP addresses in the intranet.

Description of DHCP environment for H3C switch Configuration:The DHCP server is linked to the e1/0/1 port of the H3C switch and belongs to vlan100. pc1 is interconnected with the H3C switch e1/0/2 and belongs to vlan2. pc2 is interconnected with the H3C switch e1/0/3 and belongs to vlan3.

Configure a DHCP instance for the H3C switch:

[H3C] dhcp-server 0 ip 172.16.0.254 specify the DHCP server address

[H3C-vlan100] port e1/0/1 place server ports into vlan100

[H3C-vlan100] quit

[H3C] Port vlan-interface 100

[H3C-Vlan-interface100] ip address 172.16.0.1 255.255.255.0

[H3C-vlan2] port Ethernet 1/0/2

[H3C-vlan2] quit

[H3C] interface Vlan-interface 2

[H3C-Vlan-interface2] ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

[H3C-Vlan-interface2] dhcp-server 0 specifies dhcp relay in vlan2

[H3C] vlan 3

[H3C-vlan3] port Ethernet 1/0/3

[H3C-vlan3] quit

[H3C] interface Vlan-interface 3

[H3C-Vlan-interface3] ip address 10.1.2.1 255.255.255.0

[H3C-Vlan-interface3] dhcp-server 0 specifies dhcp relay in vlan3

The preceding commands are used to configure DHCP for the H3C switch.
