Open Virtual Network Editor (START-> VMware), select vmnet8, and Nat setting.
1. the communication between the virtual machine Nat and the host is implemented through the virtual gateway (that is, the NAT service 192.168.164.2), as long as the NAT service virtualizes the gateway, virtual Machine IP addresses and vmnet8 can communicate with each other in the same IP segment;
2. The vmnet8 Nic is used to communicate with the host and NAT service, just like the NIC and NAT service of the virtual machine;
3. vmnet8 does not need to pass through vmnet0. If your host has two physical NICs, the verification process is very simple. Assume that your physical Nic A is connected to the Internet, and physical Nic B is not connected to any machine, the network connection status is "disconnected". At this time, you enter the virtual network editor and connect the vmnet0 bridge to the network card B. At this time, you enter the Virtual Machine (using NAT) to check whether the network can still be accessed normally.
4. You are on the Internet in the VM. The data stream is:
Virtual Machine NIC-> NAT service-> host physical NIC-> Internet
When you access the host from a VM (such as sharing and then copying it), it is:
Choose Virtual Machine> Virtual Machine Nic> vmnet8> host;
You access the virtual machine from the host. The data flow is from the host-> vmnet8-> Virtual Machine NIC-> virtual machine.
