Absolute positioning Layout--Summary

Position has three positioning methods:

1. Static positioning (statics)

2. Relative positioning (relative)

Characteristics:

Offset relative to its original position

is still in the standard document flow

The offset property and the Z-index property are immediately owned

3. Absolute positioning (absolute) (fixed)

Characteristics:

Set up to include blocks as a benchmark for positioning

Completely out of document flow

The offset property and the Z-index property are immediately owned

Extend--Set offset:

When the parent element is set position:relative, the child element is positioned relative to the parent element.

Remains at the initial position of the element, regardless of whether a positioned ancestor element exists.
