How do I manage a virtualized platform without vsphere client? How do I manage it on a Windows operating system? There's no need to worry. In Vsphere, VMware provides a vsphere Web Client that manages the virtualized infrastructure based on the browser, allowing administrators to manage virtualized platforms on a Web basis.

The VSphere Web client is an application installed on a Windows server that provides a graphical user interface in a browser-based manner, with most of the functionality of traditional vsphere clients, such as viewing hosts and virtual machine manifests, for hosts, virtual machines, templates, Storage and network management, remote access to virtual machines, and monitoring of events and tasks. When you install the vsphere Web client, you can install it on vcenter or on a standalone server, but it must be unblocked with the network where vcenter resides. Note that if the vcenter server and the database are installed on the same computer, the VMware VirtualCenter Management WebServices service will not start automatically and the service must be started manually. The VSphere WEB client installation requires the operating system to be 64-bit.

The steps for installing the vsphere Web client are as follows:

Step 1 Run the vcenter Server setup, select VMware vsphere Web Client (Server), and then click the Install button to run the VSphere Web Client setup program.

Step 4 Select Change the installation path or use the default installation path, set it up and click the Next button,

Step 5 completes the installation, and when you click the Finish button, the IE browser opens automatically to the Vsphere Web client's registration page.
