Active Server Pages error "ASP 0201" fix

Problem:

1. the following error occurs when accessing the ASP page:

Active Server Pages error 'asp 0201'
Invalid default scripting language
This applicationProgramThe default script language is invalid.
2. Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes and find that the permission for this classes is changed to everyone.

If the above error occurs on your ASP page and you see that the classes branch on the Registry has only one everyone permission, congratulations.

Solution:
Click the classes permission dialog box, click the [advanced] button at the bottom, in the [Advanced Security Settings], in the [permissions] tab, remove "allow the parent permission to be propagated..." This check box is used to delete all permission items, and then we can restore them.

In [Advanced Security Settings], go to the [permissions] tab and click Add> advanced>. Search for the user groups, add them one by one, and add them one by one, be sure to select their permissions for full control (for security purposes, you can also change them to inheritance later, "allow the permissions of the parent item to be propagated..." Check box on the line, I am doing this.), final OK, turn off the registry.

Please restart your IIS. When you open the ASP page again, the error will not appear and the page will be normal.
