1. [root @ localhost ~] # Cp/usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl/etc/init. d/httpd

2. [root @ localhost ~] # Vi/etc/init. d/httpd

3. Add in the second line (required; otherwise, join is unavailable)

# Chkconfig: 2345 85 15

# Description: httpd is web server (described here ).

Note: "2345" indicates loading the service at the four startup levels of "2345". "85" indicates the sequence number at startup (at startup), and "15" indicates the sequence number at Shutdown (at shutdown.

4. [root @ localhost ~] # Chkconfig-add httpd

5. [root @ localhost ~] # Chkconfig -- level 35 httpd on
