Add a mathematical symbol to a Word2010 document formula

Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, click the formula you want to add the math symbol to, and position the insertion cursor in the target location, as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2nd, in the symbol group of the formula Tools/Design Ribbon, click the More button to open the symbol panel. The basic math symbol panel, which is displayed by default. Users can find the most commonly used mathematical symbols in the basic math symbol panel, as shown in Figure 2.

Tip: If you don't find the symbol you want in the basic math symbol panel, you can click the Drop-down triangle button at the top of the panel and select more categories of symbols in the open Drop-down menu, as shown in Figure 3.
