1. Download the eclipse package to unzip in a directory, take the home/wy/crest/directory as an example

2. Create a new Eclipse.desktop file with the following input:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=eclipse
Name[zh_cn]=eclipse
Comment=eclipse Client
Exec=/home/wy/crest/eclipse/eclipse
icon=/home/wy/crest/eclipse/icon.xpm
Terminal=false
Type=application
Categories=application;
Encoding=utf-8
Startupnotify=true

3. Close file Eclipse.desktop, modify eclipse.desktop file permissions

chmod 777 Eclipse.desktop

4. Copy the eclipse.desktop to the appropriate directory,

If you want to see this shortcut icon on your desktop, enter the following command:

CP eclipse.desktop/home/wy/desktop/

If you want to see it on the Dash homepage:

CP Eclipse.desktop/usr/share/applications
