Add a static route in CentOS5.X

[Root @ db2 ~] # Route-n // view the route table (ip route can also be viewed)

[Root @ db2 ~] # Route add default gw 10.77.50.1 // add default route Gateway

[Root @ db2 ~] # Route add-net 10.77.78.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 10.77.50.1

// Add other CIDR blocks

Check the Firewall Status

[Root @ db2 ~] #/Etc/init. d/iptables status

Either of the following methods can be used to disable or enable the firewall (effective immediately ):

[Root @ db2 ~] # Service iptables stop

[Root @ db2 ~] #/Etc/init. d/iptables stop

[Root @ db2 ~] # Service iptables start

[Root @ db2 ~] #/Etc/init. d/iptables start

Firewall disabled/enabled (permanently disabled) takes effect after restart

[Root @ db2 ~] # Chkconfig iptables off

[Root @ db2 ~] # Chkconfig iptables on
