I have just installed the IE7 test version, and it feels very good. The search toolbar is indeed quite convenient. However, I still feel that it is not convenient to use Baidu, so I can find the Registry by searching for it, we found a way to add other search engines:
[Blocked ads] 1. In [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware
MicrosoftInternet Explorer
Add "Baidu" under SearchScopes"
2. Then, add the string value name: "DisplayName" value: "Baidu Search"
3. Add a DWORD Value named "SortIndex". The value is 5.
4. Add string value name: "URL" value: "http://www.baidu.com/s? Wd = % s & cl = 3"
5. Disable IE7 and then re-open it to select the Baidu search engine. You can also set it to the default one.
Add a project to the Registry
In this way, you can add Baidu's mp3 search and news search by yourself. When adding SortIndex, pay attention to adding one value for each addition.
After Baidu search engine is added
If you are a newbie and do not know how to change the registry, you can directly Save the following characters as a file with the extension:. reg.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet assumersearchscopesbaidu]
"SortIndex" = dword: 00000005
"DisplayName" = "Baidu Search"
"URL" = "http://www.baidu.com/s? Wd = % s & cl = 3"
To restore the default search engine:
If you are not satisfied with the change, you can click Search Settings and click "Restore Defaults" to Restore all Search engine data.
Question:Can you add other search engines to IE 7.0 beta1 by referring to this method?
