Setting content of the DHCP service is a complicated process. We have explained its installation and some simple settings. Here we will discuss the process of adding a DHCP scope to the DHCP server.
Step 1: On the DHCP console, click the server to which the scope is to be added → operate → create → scope → the "Create scope wizard" appears"
Add DHCP scope Step 2 click "Next" and then "Enter domain name" dialog box here enter the domain name of this domain
Add DHCP scope step 3 click "Next" Enter the scope to serve the allocated IP address subnet mask of 11.9,
Add DHCP scope Step 4 click "Next" in the "add exclusion" dialog box, enter the address service to be excluded
11.10
Step 5: click "Next" and select the default lease term of 8 days)
Add DHCP scope step 6 click "Next" to select DHCP configuration options
11.11,
Step 7: click "Next" and enter the default IP address of the gateway,

11.12,
Add DHCP scope Step 9 click "Next" to add the address of the WINS server,
Add DHCP scope step 10 click "Next" select activation Scope
Step 11 Add a DHCP scope the newly added scope 11.13 is displayed on the DHCP console, and "running" is displayed in the status bar in the form on the right of the DHCP console, indicating that the scope is enabled.
After configuring the DHCP scope, you can obtain the IP address lease and option settings from the DHCP server when the DHCP client starts. There are four more items in the scope of the DHCP console:
Address pool: Used to view and manage valid address ranges and exclusion ranges
Address lease: Used to view and manage the current address lease situation
Reserved: Used to add or delete a specific reserved IP Address
Add DHCP scope options: Used to view and manage the option types and setting values provided by the current scope
NOTE: If two DHCP servers are used on the same network segment to improve fault tolerance, the IP address range should be allocated because of the balanced use of the DHCP server, generally, 80/20 rules are used to separate all available IP addresses from each other at. One DHCP server provides a 80% IP address lease and the other 20% IP address lease. The specific setting method is as follows: assume that the IP address range to be provided on a certain network segment is 198.188.188.1 ~ 198.188.188.254: set the scope of the two servers to 198.188.188.1 ~ In 198.188.188.254, the exclusion scope is differentiated. See the following table:
IP address range excluded from the IP address range allocated by the server
Server 1 198.188.188.1-198.188.188.254 198.188.188.201-198.188.188.254
Server 2 198.188.188.1-198.188.188.254 198.188.188.1-198.188.188.200
