I am a Shanghai Telecom ADSL Broadband User and use ZTE ADSL 831 MODEN to access the Internet.
I am an old man and I don't want to know much about it technically. I just drew a gourd image. After two weeks of hard work, I initially set up my personal website for your reference. The details are as follows:
1. Install Win2000 Server Edition and install all the software you need. It is better to put the network settings at the end.
2. Apply for a peanut shell domain name and install the peanut shell software.
3. Set up WEB Servers
We know that after the WIN2000 system is installed, the "Windows2000 configure your server" Wizard dialog box will automatically appear after the system is restarted. We can select "configure this server later" to close it. Set your WEB server.
First, create a folder such as myhost in disk D or other partitions to store your website.
The website creation process is as follows:
Run "start"> "program"> "Management Tools"> "Internet Server Manager". In the displayed Internet information service window, right-click "Default WEB site ", select properties to go to the default Web site Properties dialog box. The advanced "main directory" item uses the "Browse" key to create the original file in the "D: myhost input parameter" box and then enters the document. Then, use the "enable default document" button to input index.htm?index.html and index. asp. Finally, confirm to exit.
Open the browser and enter http: // localhost in the address box to view the webpage in the myhost folder.
4. Set up an FTP server
Start Serv-U (the Chinese version I used), right-click "Domain" and choose "New Domain". In the displayed dialog box, leave the domain IP address empty (because we do not have a static IP address) go directly to the next step. In the displayed dialog box, enter the domain name requested by the "peanut shell" and then click Next. The default port is "21". The next step is to create a new domain.
Right-click "user" and choose "New User". In the dialog box that appears, enter the user name "XXXX", password "*****", and "User main directory ". select "lock user in main directory.
Finally, select a specific user and set the user permission to go to the "Directory Access" item. Except for the "execution" item, the other items can be checked. The "quota" item is displayed, you can specify the disk quota for this user.
In this way, your friends use CuteFTP to upload website files to your server.
