First step, confirm the main router wireless parameters

To confirm the wireless signal name, wireless password, and wireless channel of the main router, this article uses the following parameters for example:

Note: The main operation of wireless bridging (WDS) is done at the secondary router, with only the wireless channel of the primary router fixed.

Step two, set up the wireless Bridge of the auxiliary router

1, modify the management IP address

Login Router Management interface, click the Intranet settings >> gateway settings, modify IP address (such as the main router IP address is 192.168.1.1, the secondary router modified to 192.168.1.2), click Save and determine the restart router.

Note: After reboot, use the modified IP address to login to the management interface of the secondary router.

2, modify the wireless settings

Use the modified IP address to login to the Router management interface, click Wireless Settings >> wireless basic settings, set the same SSID number and channel as the main router.

3, select the main router signal

Click on the wireless Settings >> WDS Wireless Bridge, click on the scan peripheral host, as shown in the following image:

4, select the main router signal

Locate the wireless SSID of the primary router in the Scan page and click Connect.

5, select the encryption method and enter the wireless password

Select the same key type as the main router, enter the wireless password for the main router in the wireless password location, and click Save.

6. Shut down the DHCP server

Click Intranet settings >> DHCP server, DHCP server select Shutdown, click Save.

This wireless bridging (WDS) Setup completes, the wireless terminal connects the Zhangsan, the wired computer connects the main, the auxiliary router's LAN port to be able to surf the Internet. In the process of terminal movement, automatic roaming between main and secondary routers can be realized.

Note: After the wireless bridging (WDS) setting is complete, the secondary router will only power on and no other settings are required.
