However, if your computer has the Advatrack Pro software installed, everything will not worry, because this software can automatically collect information about the computer every 23 hours and send to the designated mailbox, including the IP address. In this way, the public security authorities can lock in the location of the stolen computer and trace it, and your computer will be returned to its rightful place.

This software can be installed under the Windows 95/98/me/nt/2000/xp platform, and the default installation path is C:winntprotect. The installer will automatically masquerade as a system service (Figure 1), but to make it easier to identify yourself, it is recommended that you change the service name so that you don't get it wrong.

Click on the "Continue" button to enter the next step, the settings here is very critical, please friends according to the following introduction to set up (as shown in Figure 2).

Choose Username: Select User name, recommend to use English or pinyin as user name, otherwise there may be compatibility problems, such as unable to log in online;

Your Email Address: Your e-mail addresses, please be sure to enter a more stable e-mail address, such as HOTMAIL/MSN, Gmail and other foreign server mailboxes, Advatrack Pro automatically collected information will be sent to this mailbox;

Company Name: name, input does not matter;

Street addresses: The address of the streets, input do not input does not matter, but the proposed input, so you can seize the thief as evidence in court;

Store reports: Record storage, using online storage by default, is recommended as "store reports online and e-mail reports" so that the collected information is stored on the site and automatically sent to the specified mailbox.

By default, Advatrack Pro automatically collects information about the computer every 23 hours, and if you think 23 hours is too long, you can reset it, such as collecting it every 8 hours. Next, there is no option to pay special attention to, click the "Continue" button to complete the installation (Figure 3). Note Do not create any shortcuts in the desktop, Start menu, Startup group after the installation is over, or you will not be in a safe-guarding role.
