After Red Hat Enterprise Linux as3.0 is installed on my t60, the default resolution is 800*600, while that of my t60 is 1400*1050. Therefore, I would like to properly set the resolution of Linux, but after setting it in Linux and restarting it, it will still be 800*600. After finding some information, we can solve this problem using the following methods. 1. Start Linux on the VM and log on as the root user. 2. Select "v" from the VM menu. M"->" INstall VMware Tools... ", the VMware tool component CD will automatically appear on the Linux Desktop. 3. Copy and decompress the tool package, as shown in Figure 4. installation and configuration of the tool package After the configuration is complete, enter reboot and restart. Then you can see that your desktop has changed to 1024*768. Of course, you can set other resolutions.
